Answer: I have listened to “What A Time To Be Alive” and I’ve had over a week to simmer down the excitement of new Drake, so I can give you a mature response. I think this mixtape is a gulp of fresh water. Every track is cleverly worded and paired with original beats. I love listening to this mixtape. My favorite songs are Digital Dash, Live From the Gutter, Diamonds Dancing, Scholarships, Plastic Bag, I’m the Plug, Change Locations, Jumpman and 30 for 30 Freestyle! 9 out of 11 but the other two are amazing! I love how this track list makes me feel.

“Who is Kendrick Lamar? And do you have any opinions on pop music or other rap icons like iggy? Eminem? Miley? Taylor?” -Cletus Whitehead (via peshprints.com)

Answer: Kendrick Lamar is a rapper. I wouldn’t necessarily consider Iggy Azalea as a rap icon, I would never disrespect the rap genre like that. I think that Iggy Azalea is famous simply because of the fact that she is Australian and people love foreign artists. I do like Eminem, I like his voice and unique story. I love Miley Cyrus as a singer. She does act really crazy and I feel like people forget that she can actually sing; she has a beautiful voice and I really liked her transition from country to pop. I feel like I saw her really mature regarding the things that she sings about. With Taylor Swift, I did love her when she was still in the country genre, and that’s saying a lot because country is my least favorite genre. She always used to seem really genuine with her lyrics. I honestly hated her transition from country to pop. I can’t pinpoint why but I hate it.

Answer: I love researching music so one thing I do to find good, new hip-hop artists is explore hotnewhiphop.com but Sound Cloud is also one of my best friends. I think there are a lot of up and coming stars for example: Playboi Carti, Post Malone, Roy Wood$, Skepta and Bryson Tiller are some of my favorites.

Answer: It just depends on our awesome Texas weather but I wouldn’t say its too early since the weather has started to cool down.
