The 2013 NBA playoffs are already under way and the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs, two of the odds-on favorites, easily defeated their opponents. The Spurs took down preseason favorite Los Angeles Lakers, easily routing the Lakers in each of the four games the two teams played against each other. The Miami Heat terrorized the Milwaukee Bucks’ defense after Bucks guard Brandon Jennings predicted an upset in six games. Most of the NBA thought that the Bucks did not stand a chance and they were justified in their belief. The Lakers’ star center Dwight Howard was ejected from the game after he was charged two technical fouls. The Lakers could lose Howard in free agency this spring, which would put the team even further down in the dumps. Despite creating a “dream team” with Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Metta World Peace(formerly known as Ron Artest), Pau Gasol, and Howard, the plan for another Finals ring for Kobe failed.
