Ranked number 17 in the state, the varsity tennis team recently played three very important games. In district semi-finals, the team beat McKinney Boyd, 10-9. Unfortunately, the team then lost to Plano West in the finals, 4-10. Then in the playback on Oct. 18, the team beat Allen High School, 10-6. This win got the team second place in the district and qualified them for regionals.
Regionals were on Oct. 26 and 27. There, the team beat Woodlands (10-4) but then lost to Westwood (4-10), making them regional quarter-finalists.
This was the first time in ten years that Plano East tennis has qualified for regionals.
