Golden Girls Prepare for Holiday Performance

The Golden Girls dance team is starting to plan for a performance at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas. On Dec. 2, the team is going to travel to the park and dance at the Christmas celebration, “Holiday in the Park.”

Rikki Endsley has been the Golden Girl director for the past three years. They have never performed at Six Flags before, but so she looks forward to a day full of fun.

“We’re going to go to school and to get ready and to go to Six Flags.” Mrs. Endsley said. “We’ll Arrive at Six flags, and practice, and then perform around 8 p.m. and play until the park closes.”

Mrs. Endsley also looks forward to a great bonding experience with her team. She feels like they haven’t had that kind of experience that a team needs this year.

“Any time you ride roller coasters in a life-threatening situation, you tend to bond with the person you’re sharing the seat with.” Mrs. Endsley said.

Junior Ashley Anderson definitely looks forward to performing in the park because she believes the team is great, especially the senior officers.  She’s not very nervous about dancing either!

“I’m not nervous because it will be mostly people I don’t know, and I’m okay with performing with people I don’t know,” Ashley said.

Even though this is the Golden Girls’ first-ever performance at Six Flags, They look forward to it and possibly more performances at Six Flags in the years to come.   The Golden Girls also plan on getting ready for some other really interesting performances in the future!

“While we’re on our trip this spring to Florida were going to perform somewhere, we just don’t know yet.” Ashley said.
