LeBron James captured his fourth Most Valuable Player (MVP) award this past weekend, bringing him into one of the most elite fraternities in the NBA. James joins Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in NBA history to win four or more MVP awards. James finished fourth in scoring, averaging 26.8 points per game. He also finished with an average of eight rebounds and seven assists per game. LeBron is most known for his special, “The Decision,” in which he announced that he would be joining the Miami Heat and leaving his hometown team Cleveland Cavaliers. James was denied his first attempt at the title by the Dallas Mavericks but was able to prevail the following season in the Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. At 28, LeBron is the youngest player in NBA history to win four MVPs.
