Star cornerback Darrelle Revis, affectionately known to fans as “Revis Island,” is no longer a member of the New York Jets. Revis was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, shoring up a secondary that was last in the league in pass defense. Revis was a formidable force at cornerback, shutting down such big-name receivers as Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, and Andre Johnson. Revis totaled 19 interceptions during his tenure with the Jets but his presence on the defensive side of the game altered many teams’ game plans. Revis instantly improves a Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary that on paper looks to be once again one of the worst in the NFL. Revis is coming off of one of his weaker years; he suffered an ACL tear in a Week 3 game against the Miami Dolphins.
