Junior Ben Bishop has been on Varsity Football since the last four games of the 2012 season, but he says he has, “learned so many things about life and being a man,” from the football team. After the final whistle blows, the Panthers, “ turn in the pads, say good bye to the seniors, and start working to be the best team in Plano East history,” Bishop says. The time commitment is brutal, starting in the morning at “6:40, then lifting weights until 8:15. Then we go from seventh period until 6:15,” Bishop says. The team just barely missed out on a chance for a spot in the State 5-A playoffs, but Ben knows that the team has their work cut out for them, “going hard will become a habit and when the going gets tough, we just have to be tougher.”
