Classic Filipino Christmas Desert

RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS:

Grease or prep pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Fill a larger pan with hot water and place flan pan inside to bake.

Flan mix:

1 can of evaporated milk, 1 can of condensed milk, 6 eggs and 1-2 tsp of vanilla extract.

  • Add ingredients and whisk until batter is thick and mixed well.

Caramelized brown sugar mix:

½ cup of brown sugar, ¼ cup water.

  • Mix and let reach boil.
  • Once boiling, let sit for 1 minute or until caramelized.

Coat bottom of pan with caramelized brown sugar

Fill with flan mix

Bake in water bath at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
